Dr. Adam Pendleton specializes in athletic horse medicine. With a background in shoeing horses since he was 14 years old, Dr. Pendleton’s life ambition is to bridge the communications gap between veterinary medicine and farriery, and being licensed in both disciplines he’s uniquely qualified to do just that.
Understanding that a horse’s feet are among the key reasons for most horse performance issues, Dr. Pendleton has dedicated his career to studying horse movement and developing treatments aimed at improving performance.

Dr. Pendleton shares his 20-plus years of farrier experience and veterinary training both locally and internationally. He regularly travels to see patients throughout the Great Lakes and Midwest regions of the United States to perform general field ambulatory services and surgeries including:
- Colic evaluations
- Lameness, gait analysis and pre-purchase examinations
- Complimentary medicine and acupuncture
His personally designed equine clinic opened in 2019 in Marblehead, Ohio for a thoughtful approach to equine podiatry.
The 4,000 square-foot building features an exam and procedure room custom-outfitted for equine patients. It also features a garage the size of three trailer lengths for when Dr. Pendleton packs up to service barns across the Midwest or welcome fellow farriers and clinicians to collaborate on a case.
