  • Special Guest Presenter Gertjan Korsman, CEF Gertjan started his career as a veterinary technician at the university of Utrecht Netherlands where he was fascinated by the difference farriers could make for horses with orthopedic issues. He became a certified farrier in 1991 after seeing the challengers of poor farriery on the locomotion and welfare of the horses (and owners!) He has continued his education visiting conferences and farriers all over the world and has organized some advanced courses in the Netherlands for certified farriers. He became the resident farrrier at Lingehoeve Diergeneeskunde In Lienden (Netherlands) in 2002 where he works with a highly skilled team of veterinarians. His practice includes providing farrier services for some of the best dressage horses in the world.
  • Case Presentations by Adam Pendleton DVM, CJF As one of only seven people worldwide to be a Certified Journeyman Farrier and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Pendleton’s life ambition is to bridge the gap between veterinary medicine and farriery. Understanding that a horse’s feet are among the key reasons for most horse performance issues, Dr. Pendleton has dedicated his career to studying horse movement and developing treatments aimed at improving performance. Dr. Pendleton shares his 20-plus years of farrier experience and veterinary training both locally and internationally and one of his greatest passions is continuing the dialog among fellow farriers and veterinarians.
